✈️ ETIAS Travel Authorization (Starting in 2025)

Beginning mid-2025, travelers from visa-exempt countries (including the United States) will need to apply for ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) before entering Italy or any other country in the Schengen Area.

💡 This applies to all guests traveling for the wedding!

Make sure to check your status and apply ahead of time.

What is ETIAS?

ETIAS is an electronic travel authorization required for short-term stays (up to 90 days within a 180-day period) in 30 European countries, including Italy.

Who Needs to Apply?

U.S. Citizens and travelers from other visa-exempt countries

Anyone planning to visit Italy for the wedding or travel around Europe before/after the event

How to Apply 📝

1️⃣ Go to the official website: ETIAS Application

2️⃣ Fill out the online form – Provide passport details, travel history, and personal info

3️⃣ Pay the €7 fee (for ages 18-70; free for minors & seniors)

4️⃣ Receive approval via email – Most applications are approved within minutes, but it could take up to 30 days

ETIAS Validity & Duration

✔️ Valid for 3 years (or until your passport expires)

✔️ Allows multiple entries into the Schengen Zone

✔️ Stay limit: Up to 90 days within a 180-day period

Important Notes

ETIAS is NOT a visa – It’s just a pre-travel authorization.

ETIAS approval does not guarantee entry – Border officials may still ask for proof of stay, return ticket, or travel insurance.

Apply at least 30 days before your trip to avoid any last-minute issues.

For the latest updates and application details, visit ETIAS Official Website.
